Description: ------------ PEAR_PackageFileManager2 depends on PHP_CompatInfo optionally. I've installed it without alldeps option, and got this error: "PEAR_PackageFileManager2 Error: PHP_Compat is not installed, cannot detect dependencies" So naively I did: $ pear install PHP_Compat But I was still getting the error, until I realized that it was PHP_CompatInfo that was missing. Test script: --------------- Install PEAR_PackageFileManager2 without PHP_CompatInfo, run a script that requires it Expected result: ---------------- PEAR_PackageFileManager2 Error: PHP_CompatInfo is not installed, cannot detect dependencies Actual result: -------------- PEAR_PackageFileManager2 Error: PHP_Compat is not installed, cannot detect dependencies

This bug has been fixed in SVN. If this was a documentation problem, the fix will appear on by the end of next Sunday (CET). If this was a problem with the website, the change should be live shortly. Otherwise, the fix will appear in the package's next release. Thank you for the report and for helping us make PEAR better.
